# How do I use Dark Mode?

The Dispatch Driver App lets you switch between **Dark Mode** and **Light Mode**, making it easier to use in different lighting conditions. Follow the steps below to choose the theme that works best for you.

## Choose a Theme in the App

You can manually set your preferred theme directly in the app at any time.

1. Open the **Dispatch Driver App**  
2. Go to **Settings**  
3. Find the **Dark Mode section**  
4. Toggle **Dark Mode on**

The in-app theme setting overrides your device’s system appearance settings.

**Note**: The app will match your phone’s system-wide appearance settings. That means if your phone settings turn to dark mode at a certain time of day, the Dispatch App will reflect that setting. Toggling Dark Mode in-app will keep your app in Dark Mode until you toggle it off.

## Choosing the Right Mode for Your Shift

- **Light Mode** works best in bright daylight and outdoor conditions
- **Dark Mode** is ideal for nighttime driving and low-light environments

Dark Mode can also help reduce screen glare at night and may extend battery life on certain devices.
